Villa du Temps Retrouvé, Cabourg

From March 1st to November 10th 2025

For the fifth year running, the Galerie Ary Jan is supporting the Villa du Temps Retrouvé with the loan of a work by Louise Abbéma: Portrait of René de Pont-jest on the beach, to be discovered in this timeless villa, which takes us back to the time of Marcel Proust.

This season's exhibition focuses on women artists and women of influence during the Belle Époque. The exhibition is an opportunity to discover the artistic practice of Rosa Bonheur, Blanche Hoschédé-Monet, Sarah Bernhardt - still too little known as a sculptor - and her close friend Louise Abbéma, among others. Discover the world of salonnières such as Madeleine Lemaire, Countess Greffulhe and Winnaretta Singer, enlightened art lovers who fascinated and inspired Marcel Proust, and key figures in the society and artistic circles of the time.
