Known as the painter of Venice, Ziem also paints during his numerous travels different scenes more of an exotic feel, as well as depictions of the Eiffel Tower, but also portraits, genre scenes, still-life paintings... At that time, no one seemed more apt than Ziem was to paint Venice and Istanbul, and to understand their mysteries.

Expert for the association of  Felix Ziem and very attached to this artist,  Mathias Ary Jan wants to give for the arts lovers  the opportunity to enrich their collections of original pieces for the most part. The gallery  Ary Jan  for his exhibition brought together a collection of works on paper, oils and watercolors delicate mastered by the artist.
