Description of the artwork
The figure of the trapeze artist occupies a central place in Rops' work on the circus.
An engraving by the Musée Félicin Rops, on display at the “The Circus We Are!” exhibition from May to September 2022, shows exactly this representation of the artist seated on the trapeze bar and holding the ropes of her apparatus in her hands.
